When creating the Volumes Plant Pot (2019), Studio Piet Boon wanted to create a range of silhouettes with different size volumes on top. These volumes have an important function: they keep the flowers in the right place. “A volume for one flower, a volume for Ikebana, a volume for a large bouquet, and a volume for a small or large plant,” Piet Boon explains. Hence the collection’s name. Made for indoor use, the interior has a thin waterproof coating but may not be 100% watertight. For best results and to prevent cracking, don’t plant directly in the pot. Instead, place a plastic pot and saucer inside or line the interior with a plastic bag before planting. Made in Portugal.
