Think globally: Peter Mabeo

African furniture manufacturer Peter Mabeo in the Studio.
Peter Mabeo runs the Mabeo Furniture Factory in Botswana, Africa. Founded in 1995, the company produces furniture that’s ecologically, aesthetically and culturally sustainable. Join us in welcoming Mabeo to the Studio, where he’ll give a presentation about the environmental aspects of his factory; his collaboration with designer Patty Johnson (designer of the Mabeo-produced Maun Windsor Chair); and his recent Editor’s Award for Craftsmanship, which he received at this year’s ICFF show. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Refreshments will be served.
