Emeco in the Studio
Thursday, July 10, 6–8pm
Emeco created the 1006 Navy® Chair in 1944, and since then, the company has used the same process to create seating collections that use 80% recycled materials and are virtually indestructible. They continue to create enduring pieces by partnering with notable designers like Philippe Starck and Frank Gehry, and most recently, they introduced the Nine-0™ Chair by Ettore Sottsass. This chair was the legendary designer’s last work before he died at the age of 90. Join us in welcoming representatives from Emeco to the Studio. Their presentation will give you an insider’s look into Emeco’s history and production processes. Short films about the company by Starck and Eames Demetrios will also be shown. Enter our raffle to win a 1006 Navy Chair. Refreshments will be served.
RSVP to potrero@dwr.com by July 8.
