Shaped to suit the human form, the classic Series 7 Chair, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, has a back that offers just the right amount of give, a seat with curves in all the right places, and a waterfall front edge that supports your legs without pressing into them. Jacobsen shaped the core of Danish design identity with this chair by forming it from one piece of plywood narrowed in the middle to accommodate three different bends. It can stack six chairs high. This is the authentic Series 7 Chair by Fritz Hansen. Made in Poland.

  • Wide range of fabric upholstery options.

Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen began training as a mason before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he won a silver medal for a chair that was exhibited at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs. Jacobsen’s work remains appealing and fresh today, combining free-form shapes with the traditional attributes of Scandinavian design, material and structural integrity.
