Details

The Pleat Collection (2018) offers a fresh take on traditional drum-shaped shades. Codesigners Jonah Takagi and Hallgeir Homstvedt sought to push the pleats in a different direction and make them as small as they could. What they actually created is a textural micro-pleat. When you look closely, you see the intricate pleated design. An offset base design completes the intriguing, elegant look. Bulb (included): 11W 2700K A19/E26 LED. UL Listed. Base made in China, shade in U.S.A.

Jonah Takagi

Jonah Takagi

Born in Tokyo and raised in New England, Takagi studied furniture design at the Rhode Island School of Design, then worked with a cabinetmaker in Portland, Oregon. Takagi doesn’t approach his designs with a set philosophy, and self-evaluation doesn’t come naturally. “It’s a little bit hard for me to see trends or an arc when I look at my body of work, but people tell me that it’s playful."
