Revolutionary in its simplicity, Gerrit Rietveld’s Crate Collection, originally designed in 1934, is back in production thanks to a special collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY. The Crate Lounge Sofa is true to the Dutch architect’s original design, with low proportions, supportive armrests, and a generously sloping back and seat that invites relaxation. Its transparent construction also reflects Rietveld’s original intent, which was to minimize production costs and optimize the assembly process. Add a removable seat cushion (sold separately) for extra comfort. Made in China.
  • Classic Gerrit Rietveld design.
  • Made of solid pine with a water-based lacquered finish.
  • Comfortably seats two.
  • Wood has been dried to a humidity specifically for outdoor use; indoor use not recommended.
  • Add a removable cushion (sold separately) for extra comfort.
