Hudson Counter Stool - Brushed
Originally designed for Ian Schrager's Hudson Hotel in New York City, the exuberant Hudson Collection (2000) combines the contemporary styling of Philippe Starck with Emeco's classic 1944 naval-ready form and construction. Executed entirely of corrosion-resistant aluminum and finished with a highly polished surface that calls attention to the fluidity of the chair's solid backrest, contoured seat and sweeping back leg. Tested for strength and intended to last 150 years, it can be used indoors or out. Made in U.S.A.

Philippe Starck
School drop-out Philippe Starck jump-started his career by designing two nightclub interiors in Paris in the 1970's. The success of the clubs won the attention of President Francois Mitterand, who asked Starck to refurbish one of the private apartments in the Elysee Palace.
