Industrial designer Bertjan Pot begins many of his works as material experiments – and the NR2 Floor Lamp (2019) is no exception. The ellipsoid shade is crafted of fiberglass with epoxy resin, featuring a latticed pattern that doesn't block one's view. The lamp's powder-coated steel stand is notable for its seamlessly integrated LED light, diffusing a luminous glow that's easy on the eyes. Its power cord is equipped with a dimmer. Bulb (included): LED. Made in the Netherlands.
  • Sculptural, latticed shade doesn't block view.

Bertjan Pot

Designing furniture, lighting and other home products, Bertjan Pot emphasizes materials, which he sees as a critical but often overlooked element of the design process. Most of his projects are based in experimentation – starting small, playing with a material or technique, following a curiosity about how something might work, or might look.
