For their innovative Cestlavie Table (2018) for Poltrona Frau, designers Gam Fratesi were inspired by a classic sewing basket to create a luxurious woven-leather table that offers hidden storage within its half-dome base. Beautifully handcrafted from refined saddle leather straps woven onto a lithe steel frame, the hollow, half-sphere base doubles as a stylish storage nook for throws, books, and small items. Cestlavie’s folding lid, wrapped in Pelle Frau® leather, serves as a practical but luxe tabletop. Made in Italy.
  • An elegant woven leather table in a half-dome basket shape offers hidden storage.
  • The leather-wrapped bifold lid serves as a luxe tabletop.
  • Beautifully handcrafted with techniques used for fine small leather goods.
  • The interior is treated with a protective wax finish.
  • The round aluminum frame and slender steel legs have a gunmetal finish.

GamFratesi

Copenhagen native Stine Gam and Italian Enrico Fratesi formed GamFratesi to celebrate the intersection of their diverse cultural backgrounds, allowing them to move between two design cultures – Danish simplicity and Italian intellectualism – with a fluidity that shows in their offerings.
