The Kettelhut Chair, designed by Finn Juhl in 1951 and relaunched in 2024, exemplifies the Danish designer’s artistic approach to creation. Its broad, angular armrests are masterfully balanced by an embracing frame made from FSC-certified American walnut and European oak. Expertly upholstered cushions in fabric or leather ensure comfort. Juhl sought to design furniture with movement, form, and life; Kettelhut captures this ambition. The iconic midcentury piece will add welcoming warmth to living rooms, a favorite reading nook, or home office. Made in Denmark.

Finn Juhl

When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl’s work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Finn Juhl is also credited, along with fellow Danes Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen and Poul Kjaerholm, with introducing Danish modern to midcentury America.
