Danish designer Hans J. Wegner’s mastery of both architecture and carpentry are revealed in every element of the CH110 Desk (1970). A seamlessly veneered top rests gracefully on hand-polished stainless-steel legs. Symmetrical drawers feature delicate handles finished with beautiful dovetail joints. Each drawer includes veneered partitions; there’s even a small tray to store precious items. With its pure profile and intricate details, the desk brings an enduring beauty to the home office. Over 50 years since it was first made, each desk remains handmade in Denmark by Danish furniture makers Carl Hansen & Søn. Lock and key included. Made in Denmark.

Hans Wegner

Hans Wegner stands among designers Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Poul Kjærholm and Verner Panton as a master of 20th-century Danish modernism. More specifically, he was instrumental in developing a body of work known as organic functionalism. His early training included both carpentry and architecture.
