Details

The swooping, sculptural form of the indoor-outdoor Limbo Chair by Hlynur Atlason (2022) is statement-making yet surprisingly comfortable – designed to balance flexibility and support, playfulness and durability. Limbo is made from a high percentage of recycled post-consumer plastic (the percentage varies by color, with black being the highest) and is 100% recyclable. Its neutral tones are designed to harmonize with the natural environment. Made in the USA.

Hlynur Atlason

Hlynur Atlason grew up in Iceland and studied science at the Sorbonne before he came to New York to study design at Parsons School of Design. After graduation, he stayed in New York and, in 2004, founded his eponymous design studio, which has since designed kitchen utensils, beverage bottles, airline serviceware, cosmetics packaging and furniture.
