Based in Milan, Stories of Italy is a design studio that uses time-tested techniques to create beautifully crafted, modern objects. Their Macchia Collection resulted from a innovative approach to the traditional Venetian macchia technique, in which patterns are created by repeatedly fusing colored glass powders and flakes. Up to 5 different layers are needed to achieve the rich, dense patterning of this collection. When the glass flakes melt on top of each other, the result is one-of-a-kind vases, bowls, and glasses. Made in Italy.
  • Beautiful glasses for everyday use.
  • Sold as a set of 2.
  • Murano glass is mouth-blown and hand-finished.
  • Each piece is one of a kind.

Stories of Italy

Stories of Italy draws from the country’s rich cultural heritage to reimagine traditional Murano glass for today. Based in Milan, the studio works with local artisans whose experience with time-honored techniques allows for forward-thinking experimentation and collaboration. The resulting pieces – from vases to bowls and other essentials – add luminous color and dramatic interest to any room.
